Short version: RateSniper AI does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All analysis happens locally on your device. We do not track you, sell your data, or share anything with third parties.
1. What We Collect
RateSniper AI is designed with a privacy-first architecture. The extension processes all data locally on your device.
Data stored locally on your device only- Language preference (English or Russian) — saved via
chrome.storage.local - Subscription status (Free or Solo tier) — saved via
chrome.storage.local - Load analysis history — up to 50 recent analyses, stored locally, never transmitted
- Personal identifiers (name, email, address, phone number)
- Financial or payment information
- Authentication credentials or passwords
- Browsing history or activity logs
- Location data
- Any data from load boards or freight portals you visit
2. How the Extension Works
When you use RateSniper AI to analyze a load:
- The extension reads visible text on the current page to auto-fill form fields (rate, mileage). This data is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
- Rate analysis is performed using a local algorithm embedded in the extension code — no external API calls are made for the analysis itself.
- The floating panel and results are rendered inside an isolated Shadow DOM — they do not interfere with the host page and no page data is transmitted.
3. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe — a third-party payment processor. When you click the upgrade button, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout page. RateSniper AI never sees, handles, or stores your payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: stripe.com/privacy.
4. Website (ratesniper.ai)
Our website does not use tracking cookies, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. No personal data is collected when you visit ratesniper.ai.
5. Third-Party Services
The extension loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) for display purposes. This is a standard CSS import and does not transmit any user data beyond a standard HTTP request for font files. See Google's privacy policy for details.
6. Data Retention
Since no data is transmitted to our servers, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. Local data (language preference, analysis history) can be cleared at any time by:
- Removing the extension from Chrome
- Clearing Chrome extension storage via
chrome://settings/siteData
7. Children's Privacy
RateSniper AI is a professional tool intended for use by adults in the commercial trucking industry. We do not knowingly collect any data from persons under the age of 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
